Are you also annoyed with your photos being cropped when you try posting them on Instagram? You are not alone. Instagram automatically crops your photos to resize them into a default size, i.e., 1:1 (square photos). However, there is a way to post the full photo on Instagram without getting cropped.
In this post, I’ll show you how to post a full photo on Instagram without cropping in the default ratio, whether it’s a landscape photo or a portrait photo. I’ve provided a step-by-step guide to make this simple and quick for you.
Why Does Instagram Crop Photos?
Instagram uses the default 1:1 (square) aspect ratio for posts on your Instagram feed. If your photo is in a different ratio, may it be taller or wider than the default ratio, then Instagram will crop it automatically in the 1:1 ratio unless the photo is manually adjusted by you. This is the main reason why your photo is not fully visible and is cropped when they are uploaded to Instagram.
You would be happy to hear that you can very easily post your full photo on Instagram without the fear of being cropped.
How to Post Full Pictures on Instagram Without Cropping (Portrait or Landscape)
Step 1: Open the Instagram App on your mobile.
Step 2: Tap the + (create a new post icon) at the bottom center.

Step 3: Choose the photo you want to upload to Instagram from your gallery.
Your photo would be automatically cropped by Instagram into a square ratio by default.
Step 4: Tap the expand icon (two arrows facing out) once in the bottom left corner of the image.

Your image would be resized into the original aspect ratio, with your full photo being visible, may it be portrait or landscape.
Step 5: You can also adjust and reposition your image using your two fingers as required.
Step 6: You can then edit your photos or apply filters in the Next screen if you like.
Step 7: Share your post after adding the necessary details like caption, tags, location, etc.
Instagram will now post your photo as a post without cropping or excluding any part of your image
This would help you to see the full photo on Instagram in very simple steps.
